Citylets Property Reports
Filed Under Citylets Rental Reports by admin | Leave a Comment
At the beginning of 2007, we decided to compile our property data collected over the past 3-4 years into a quarterly market research report. The reason why we are devoting time and effort into creating these reports is to finally provide fully independent figures on the state of the rental market in Scotland – a first for the country.
The first Citylets property report, ‘A Tale of Three Cities’ released in April, followed by the second, ‘Rate Expectations’released in July and the most recent quarterly report, ‘Interesting Times’ have all been released over the past year. The series of reports have been well received by press and clients alike.
The Q3 issue detailed Aberdeen’s rental figures – they continued to impress and demand for flats to rent in Aberdeen has been unrelenting since we began reporting figures in Q1 2007.
Contained within the report (and perhaps the most important feature for tenants) is the average rental rates you can expect to pay within a certain postcode. Please refer to the most recent property report for more information.
The series of reports are a collaboration between external consultant Dominic McKeith and statistician, Dr Colin Roberts, an economist at the University of Edinburgh. Each quarter, numbers are thoroughly crunched before producing results to compare against the same quarter the year previously. We aim to report on macro-trends extending further back in time in the very near future.
If you have any comments on the report, please contact Dominic or use the comment form on Citylets News. We’d be delighted to obtain any feedback!

Welcome to the new Citylets News pages. We’ve created this blog in order to tell you more about Citylets, what we are involved in, recent changes and anything else you might be interested in.
Citylets News will keep you up to date with both Citylets developments and those in the wider rental market. We will regularly update this section and we welcome comments on any of the posts.
Citylets as a website is under constant development and it is important for us to get your feedback. This is a really exciting development for us and we are keen for you to be in touch with the people behind the website who are striving to help you find your ideal property to rent with the minimum of effort.
Please note, although the comments section of the blog gives you the opportunity to get involved & chip in with your two cents – it will be monitored. It is not designed to flog other websites, demonize letting agents or landlords, or spread rumours, etc – so please don’t!
